My Life as a 44-year-old College Student

October 21, 2009

My God – I went to bed after 1:30AM last night / this morning!  I’ve finalized my rough cuts for scenes one, two and three for “At Your Own Risk,” and have the final scene to edit.  Once the film is locked, I hope to gain enough knowledge in Soundtrack Pro to get the aural quality of my short in shape.  I hope I can do it!

I’ve got to pack for Vegas – departure this Friday and I don’t know when that’s actually going to happen.  I’ve got Urinetown tonight and tomorrow night and then departure early on Friday.  Well, I guess that means either I’m packing late Thursday night or early Friday morning.  Neither choice sounds good.

I am excited about going to see U2 in concert with the Black Eyed Peas opening for them, http://www.u2.com/tour/ but I’m also exhausted.

For the Urinetown performance tonight, another CFS student named Fola is attending with me.  She is a sweetheart I met her in the dropped Voice Articulation class.

Fola went to Denver School of the Arts as a vocal major and said she might actually still know some of the seniors – how cute is that!  I’m so old!!!!!!!!!  It’s so sweet that she asked me if she could come J At least I’m approachable in addition to being OLD!

The dinner with Fola was lovely.  It was nice getting to know her and the show was awesome.  These kids are amazing and I have to admit, sometimes it is difficult to separate the idea that these are kids and that we're not viewing an actual Broadway show.  I’m so proud of Marlo!
